about

"The Huron Carol" is attributed to a 17th century Jesuit priest living among the native Huron tribe north of Lake Ontario in Canada. It's a hauntingly beautiful melody with original lyrics describing the Nativity in the original Iroquois language of the Huron.

I've made an arrangement for Trombone and a small orchestra with some jazz elements. My arrangement was inspired by my winter walks in the forests of "Mono Cliffs Provincial Park" in Ontario, which is not too far from the original tribal lands of the Huron.

Cam Millar Maryland

You can't pigeonhole Cam's music. He's an active performer himself (trombonist), and he tends to have a kinetic connection to everything he composes, whether he's writing for human performers (musicians, dancers, ice skaters), horses and their riders, or creating soundscapes and scores for multi-media productions. ... more
